Acetal Rod is an excellent engineering plastic for contact with food, it has very low hydroscopicity which means that it will absorb very little moisture and so bacteria is also absorbed potentially less. Acetal Rod will also machine to a very smooth surface finish which means that there will be less surface machining marks for bacteria to harbour and would be much easier to clean more thoroughly.

Acetal Rod if made into roller or bearings will provide a very free running component for production lines and due to the fact that it is a very hard plastic will resist damage or indentation.
